World Lung Day 2019
25th September 2019 marks World Lung Day, a day for advocacy and action, and an opportunity for us to promote better lung health globally. Thorax and our companion journal, BMJ Open Respiratory Research, are working with WLD to share some of our content relating to the World Lung Day themes of the burden of respiratory disease and universal health coverage.
As part of this, we have selected some of our favourite editorials highlighting articles related to the following topics:
- Pneumonia and respiratory infections
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
- Lung cancer
- Air pollution
- Cystic fibrosis
- Recovery from critical illness
- Smoking & vaping
And we have made these editorials free to access for the whole of September.
If you are interested in more content for World Lung Day, our companion journal, BMJ Open Respiratory Research has curated a collection of articles, available here. Additionally, BMJ Open Respiratory Research is offering a 15% discount for articles submitted in September. Please quote the code 2019WORLDLUNGDAY upon payment.
