Historically, 20%–50% of hematological malignancy (HM) patients experience pulmonary complications and 40%–60% of adult patients experience pulmonary complications after HCT (Krowka et al. 1985; Loss et al. 1993; Maziarz et al. 2016). Early detection of pulmonary complications could result in earlier therapeutic interventions, thereby improving the patient's overall prognosis (Maziarz et al. 2016; Frinc et al. 2017a, 2017b).
