      Bronchiectasis has been reported in congenital lung malformations such as sequestration2 8 or rarely with a rib malformation.9 Familial causes of undefined aetiology have been described.4 5 It should be remembered that congenital defects, particularly tracheobronchomegaly, may first present in adulthood.1 6
