COPD was defined as lower limit of normal. Allele score: urate SLC2A9 rs7442295 variant+urate ABCG2 rs2331142 variant. Individuals with self-reported asthma (n=6234 in the CGPS) are excluded from COPD analyses. P for trend was calculated using Cuzick’s non-parametric test for trend.
