  • The TEPITOPE-predicted HLA-DR1-restricted epitope within Phl p 5b-derived p26 (YAVFEAALT) was identified in other grass species. Sequences were aligned using the CLUSTAL 2.0.12 multiple sequence alignment programme available via the European Bioinformatics Institute server: (http://www.ebi.ac.uk/Tools/services/web/toolform.ebi?tool=clustalw2). The Phl p isoallergen investigated in this study is shown in bold. The table highlights the percentage identity of the epitope sequences following calculation of pairwise sequence alignment scores when compared with Phl p 5.0201.

  • Dac g, Dactylis glomerata; HLA, human leukocyte antigen; Hol l, Holcus lanatus; Lol p, Lolium perenne; Phl p, Phleum pratense; Poa p, Poa pratensis.
