    Given the similarities in histology, history and response to treatment, some suggest that in the setting of malignancy, these 2 neutrophilic dermatoses are part of a clinical spectrum, where 1 or multiple phenotypes can present in the same individual.4,5 In addition to atypical skin lesions, patients with malignancy-associated neutrophilic dermatoses can have extracutaneous manifestations including arthritis and pulmonary involvement, which can present as noninfectious infiltrates or obliterative bronchiolitis.6 The literature also describes cases of patients with life-threatening symptoms mimicking severe sepsis.
