    We are pleased to announce that Thorax is about to start posting all original articles on its website in an Online First section (http://www.thoraxjnl.com) shortly after acceptance and before the papers are published in the print version of the journal. Although the time from acceptance to publication in Thorax is relatively short, this initiative is a welcome contribution.
