The impact factor for Thorax is rising

Impact factors for journals for the year 2003 have recently been published and we are delighted that the impact factor for Thorax has risen to 4.188. It is now the second highest ranked conventional respiratory journal in terms of impact factor, behind the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, and has overtaken the American Journal of Respiratory Cell and Molecular Biology. The impact factors for the main respiratory journals are listed in table 1Go.


 

The journal impact factor for 2003 reflects the number of citations in 2003 to papers published in Thorax in 2001 and 2002.
